Meet Wright Doss

In 24 years of clinical experience, I have helped clients like you learn how to manage anxiety and depression due to work stress, illness, and other significant life changes.

The objective is to guide you successfully through these life changes and hardships, manage the impact they have on your life, and move you forward with a renewed perspective.

During times like these, many people fear that their job may be at risk, or that changes we think are coming will be untenable. Sometimes the environment in our workplace has changed, and we no longer feel our hard work is recognized or that we are even welcome in this place we once felt at home.

Some times life throws us a curve ball at our health status and we are diagnosed with chronic and potentially life threatening illnesses. My expertise in this area provides you a safe and private space to process its impact on your life and help you move forward. It is stressful and often traumatic when our bodies cease to work they way we have grown to rely on them.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focus on providing you skills that help manage complex emotions for all of these types of problems. My practice is centered on helping you develop skills to better manage these difficult emotions. We will talk in each session about how you are feeling day-to-day and week-to-week, and identify skills you can learn to use effectively manage situations that currently cause you distress. In time, together, you will learn to master these skills so they become second nature.

Our first appointment will be one of discovery and reflection for us both. I want you to feel confident in my knowledge of you, as well as my skills as a therapist by creating an environment where you feel safe and validated. From there, we can work together to help you more effectively manage the conflicts or stressors in your life.
